Nicholson re-arrested and released on bail

One of the co-accused in the drug bust in Melfort on January 18 was re-arrested and released on bail last week. In Melfort Provincial Court on Thursday, June 28, Maury Nicholson, who is charged with Laurence Buhay was released on bail.
The 18-year-old Nicholson was arrested on a breach on Monday, June 25 and first appeared in court on Tuesday, June 26.
He had his bail hearing on June 28 and was released.
In Melfort Provincial Court on Tuesday, May 8 Nicholson, who is pleaded guilty to a number of charges.
The 18-year-old Nicholson pleaded guilty to three counts of  trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime.
His case was set aside until Thursday, July 12 when there will be a sentencing for the pleas.
In Melfort Provincial Court on Tuesday, April 17 Nicholson’s co-accused entered not guilty pleas and set a trial date for August 9 and 10 in Provincial Court with judge alone.
The case stems back to January 18 when Melfort RCMP in combination with the Prince Albert Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) conducted a Controlled Substances and Drugs Act (CDSA) investigation resulting in the arrest of two individuals.
Varying quantities of drugs (including methamphetamine, cocaine and marihuana) were seized along with a quantity of cash.
